Your role
If you are getting
a website designed by Rubble, you will need to
provide us with:
- Your logo (PMS colours of
your logo if you have them)
- Photos or images you want
to use
- Graphics you want to use
- Examples of other resources:
Brochures, Business Cards, Letterhead etc.
so we can get an idea of any design style that
is already established or important to your
brand.
- Any colours you like / dislike
- A list of any sites you like
/ dislike
- Text content. What you want
to say on each page (For example most sites
have common pages such as Home, About Us, History,
Products / Services, Contact Us)
- The ftp address, user name
and password, so I can have access to your
site.
(Please let us know if you require Rubble to register your
domain name and / or host your
website.
Format
Images or Graphics
Any logos, pictures, photos
or graphics may be received in the following
format
PDF, Photoshop files, Illustrator files, eps, tiff, jpg etc.
Please contact us if
you are unsure.
Text files
The text for you site can be emailed to us in word,
raw text format etc.
Please contact us if
you are unsure.
As a general rule the higher quality
file you can send us the better. Even though
any graphics or images will end up at a low quality
for the web it is useful to supply us with reasonably
high resolution files if you do have them in
order for us to get the best results.
You can either burn the content and files onto CD or you could email
them to us. * Please note: Only send files under 5mb via email.
Alternatively send us a hard copy of your business cards, letter head,
photos etc. if you don't have it on file (at a reasonable quality) and
we will scan it in.

Our role
What to expect if
Rubble is designing your site
Initially we offer a free 1/2 hour consultation to go over how we can help you and the services we provide, and get an idea of what you require. We then recommend a 1/2-1 hour meeting to get a better idea of your exact requirements (see
our packages section), and then you can expect the following:
- Website
Site Structure and Estimate
You will be presented with a site strcuture plan, showing the number and type of pages, with the content of the pages described. You will also receive an estimation of the time and costs involved. This process takes time and is therefore charged at a flat rate of $150 +GST. However, this cost is credited to your account (making it free) if you approve of the plan and estimate and go ahead with us.
Once you have approved for us to go ahead, and we have received all the content including
text, pictures, logos etc. you can expect
the following process to take place:
- Website
Design Concept Visual
You will be presented with a visual concept of what your newly designed
website could look like. Normally we will send you a jpg file via email
to look at. (Depending on the package your have selected you may have
more than one idea presented to you)
- Confirmation
of Visual
You will select which visual you prefer.
If necessary you may make minor changes.
- Approval
of Visual
You will give your approval of the visual. If you have made changes
a new visual it will be re-presented to you for approval.
- Website
Build
Once the visual has been approved, the website will be built using
html, javascript and cascading style sheets. We will optimise all images,
buttons etc. for the web and then compile all the pages with the content
you have supplied us with, linking sections and pages etc.
- Test site
You will be sent a URL so that you can view a Rubble ‘test site’ of
your website and advise us of any problems or changes you may require.
- Final Amendments
If necessary, amendments will be made and viewed on the Rubble test
site. You will then need to give your final approval of the site.
- Payment
/ Site Live
Once payment has been made in full to Rubble your website will be uploaded
to make it live.

Why
are you on the internet?
Who is going to be viewing your site?
What is the most important information they will want to find
out?
What it is that you want them to be able to find out?

 |
| Please
note:
Any newspaper ads, low quality magazine
ads etc. are not ideal as they are poor quality. They
may be useful to give us an idea of a style you may
want to follow, but won’t be good enough quality
to scan successfully from.
